For the BMW booth at the IAA 2019, Elastique. developed a new visual motion design language that perfectly emphasizes the media structure of the trade fair stand. The "joy of driving", also known as "JOY" for BMW, was to be brought to life for visitors to the stand.
By focusing on the feeling of the brand instead of advertising new products, facts and figures, the visuals were designed to show the core of the BMW brand on a meta level. Selected materials from the exterior and interior of the car turned for hyper-real animated statements.
Leveraging the technical setup, the visuals were used to influence the overall mood of the stand in a fifteen-minute motion design, music and sound design dramaturgy.
